Here I am: Marc Willmann
I was born in 1976 in Böblingen near Stuttgart and am therefore Swabian. But don't worry, you can't hear that. After high school graduation and civil service I came to the north in 1996 and studied computer science (with minor subject medical computer science). In 1997 I became self-employed and financed my studies with it.
I am father of a great hooligan and husband of the best woman of all. With both I like to travel the world and experience new adventures.
Open-Source & TYPO3
I have been working with TYPO3 since 2002 and have accompanied numerous projects since then. Large and small, for 1-man companies as well as for well-known corporations. For a long time I worked as a freelancer for various agencies and got to know different working methods and organizations. In 2015 I changed to a TYPO3 agency, where the chemistry, the standards and the personal interaction fit and still fit. Since then, I have been heading the development department at F7 Media GmbH in Hamburg and work together with my great colleagues to always make everything a little bit better ;-)
Since the end of 2017 I am also the leader of the TYPO3 Education Committee and like to contribute to the TYPO3 community there. On this page I like to blog about this part of my working life and maybe I will make the idea appealing to some of you to get involved in this great community - in the Education Committee or elsewhere. One of my tasks is the further development of the TYPO3 certification program and the coordination of the individual task forces, which keeps the questions up-to-date.
And of course I too have been certified in the TYPO3 universe: since 2014 I have been a TYPO3 CMS Certified Integrator (TCCI), since 2016 TYPO3 CMS Certified Developer and since 2017 TYPO3 CMS Certified Consultant (TCCC) and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for this certification. Together with my colleagues Peter Pröll and Andreas Wolf I have written a book to prepare for the TCCC exam. I also like to give individual trainings to prepare for the different TYPO3 certifications.
